We’re supporting a highly advanced defense technology team developing next-generation autonomous maritime for defense programs.

This is a genuinely hands-on Senior Mechanical Engineering role spanning the full product lifecycle, from concept design and rapid prototyping through to integration, environmental testing, and operational deployment.

This is the first mechanical engineering hire, offering a rare opportunity to help shape and build the function from the ground up.

You’d be working across:

Structural & Mechanical Design
* Mechanics of materials, fatigue, fracture & stress analysis
* FEA/FMEA + GD&T-driven design
* Thermal & fluid systems engineering

Rapid Prototyping & Manufacturing
* CNC machining
* Composite fabrication
* Design-build-test iteration cycles

Autonomous Maritime & Defense Systems
* USV/UUV/UAS platforms
* SIL/HIL testing environments
* Integration support during military exercises & field deployments

Ideal backgrounds could include:
– Autonomous systems
– Maritime robotics
– Aerospace & defense
– Naval systems
– Advanced composites
– Prototype/R&D engineering

This is a strong fit for engineers who enjoy moving between CAD, analysis, prototyping, shop-floor manufacturing, integration, and real-world field testing.

They can pay up to $160k with equity and a circa 15% bonus.
