Role Overview:

We are seeking a mechanically oriented Commissioning & Operations Engineer to support the operation and maintenance of advanced process units during short-term demonstration and commissioning campaigns. This role involves hands-on plant operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance leadership to ensure safe and efficient performance throughout the project lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plant Operation: Operate demonstration or process units on client sites, including sampling, testing, and reporting in line with project plans.
  • Maintenance Leadership: Define and execute routine maintenance plans, manage spares inventory, and resolve breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshooting & Optimization: Monitor system performance, identify issues, contribute to root cause analysis, and recommend improvements.
  • Installations & Disassembly: Lead risk assessments, supervise rig-up/rig-down activities, and ensure safe execution of site operations.
  • Safety Leadership: Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring incident-free operations and implementing lessons learned.
  • Client Interaction: Support client visits and presentations, acting as a technical ambassador for the project.

Candidate Profile:

  • Technical Expertise: Background in mechanical engineering, maintenance, and operations within process plants (energy, industrial, or similar sectors).
  • Problem-Solving: Resourceful and methodical, with a strong ability to resolve operational challenges.
  • Analytical Mindset: Data-driven approach to troubleshooting and optimization.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and site teams.
  • Flexibility & Mobility: Willingness to travel across Europe for project assignments.
  • Right to Work: Must have the legal right to work in the EU and/or UK without restrictions.
