Director of Business Development – DefenseTech – USA (ideally Washington, D.C.)
Darwin have partnered with a Global Technology start-up who recently secured Series B funding (now secured over $100m in total) and are investing heavily in a new US Defense Business Unit.
Their technology is already well-respected and has generated millions in savings for businesses with many applications across the Military, Navy & Coastguard (Unmanned Surface Vessels, ISR purposes etc.).
They are now looking for a proven Business Development leader to lead their growth in the US market, promoting adoption of their systems into US military platforms through leveraging key relationships with Defense Primes, naval warfare centres and relevant commands.

Experience of Interest
- Ideally 10+ years Business Development within Defense and/or x-Navy, x-Military.
- Strong understanding of US Defense procurement processes (OTA, SBIR and FAR-based contracts etc.).
- Proven track record capturing business and generating revenue (ideally AI, ISR or Maritime related).
- Wealth of connections and a strong network of decision makers across DoD, Navy, USMC, SOCOM.
- US Citizen and ability to secure SC.

Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable within start-up environments.
Pay circa $180,000-$220,000 + Comms/Bonus. Flexible with location across the US, however ideally based in or near to Washington, D.C.
