Project Assistant / Junior Project Manager (Digital PMO)
As a Project Assistant / Junior Project Manager within the Digital & Data organization, you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of digital initiatives, projects, and operational improvements. You will help coordinate activities across stakeholders, maintain project governance, and ensure that planning, documentation, communication, and reporting are executed effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project managers and leadership teams in planning, coordinating, and delivering Digital & Data initiatives.
- Maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, action logs, risk registers, and status reports.
- Coordinate meetings, workshops, and steering committees, including agenda preparation, documentation, and follow-up actions.
- Monitor project progress and proactively follow up on deliverables, dependencies, and deadlines.
- Facilitate communication between internal teams, external partners, and business stakeholders.
- Support PMO activities including governance, reporting, resource planning, and project administration.
- Manage project documentation and ensure information is maintained within SharePoint, Teams, and other digital collaboration platforms.
- Assist with change management, process improvement initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
- Track project budgets, purchase requests, and administrative project activities where required.
- Identify risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process optimization, escalating issues when appropriate.
- Contribute to the development and standardization of project management methodologies, templates, and best practices.
The Ideal Candidate
- 2-4 years of experience in a Project Assistant, PMO Analyst, Project Coordinator, Management Assistant, or similar support role, with strong management support and administration skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience coordinating stakeholders, meetings, actions, and project documentation.
- Affinity with IT, digital transformation, data, or technology-driven environments.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Planner, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar project collaboration tools.
- Proficient in communication skills with Dutch and English.
- Proactive, structured, attention to detail, and capable of working independently.
- Comfortable operating in an international, and rapidly changing environment.
- Project governance and documentation are consistently maintained.
- Stakeholders are informed, aligned, and supported throughout project lifecycles.
- Risks, actions, and dependencies are actively tracked and managed.
- Digital projects and initiatives are delivered with strong coordination and operational support.
- PMO processes are continuously improved, creating greater transparency and efficiency across the Digital & Data portfolio.
