Job Title: Senior Data Scientist (AI-Native)

Our client is transforming how AI is embedded across the business and is seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist who can bridge traditional machine learning expertise with modern AI-native development practices.
This is not a standard Data Scientist position. The successful candidate will help design, prototype, and deploy AI-powered solutions that drive business outcomes across content, audience engagement, customer behaviour analysis, recommendations, productivity, and automation.
The role requires someone who understands how to build with AI technologies, leverage agentic workflows, and rapidly develop practical solutions that can move from prototype to production.
Working closely with product, engineering, editorial, and commercial teams, you will help shape the next generation of AI-driven capabilities across the organization.
Key Skills & Experience Required
- Senior Data Science experience in commercial environments (7 years plus)
- Must have experience using Claude Code, CodeX or other AI Tools
- Strong programming experience with Python and SQL
- Proven experience developing, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models in production
- Strong knowledge of supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques including regression, classification, clustering, and predictive modelling
- Hands-on experience with Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and/or PyTorch
- Experience working with large-scale datasets using Spark, BigQuery, or similar big data technologies
- Cloud platform experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience partnering across business and technical teams
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence product and business strategy through data
