Role: Business Analyst for Workforce optimsation

Overview

  • We are seeking an experienced Operational Business Analyst to support the use of an AI-driven workforce analytics tool that identifies labour cost drivers such as overtime, premium pay exposure, and payroll penalties. The consultant will analyse workforce data, interpret dashboard insights, and work with operational stakeholders to identify root causes behind labour cost inefficiencies. The role focuses on translating data insights into practical operational improvements across industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, and food & beverage.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years’ experience as an Operational Business Analyst or similar operational analysis role

  • Strong experience analysing data through dashboards and reporting tools

  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis and translate insights into operational improvements

  • Experience gathering requirements and working directly with operations or scheduling teams

  • Process improvement background (Lean / Six Sigma preferred)

  • Experience in operational environments such as manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, or food & beverage is beneficial

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Analyse workforce data and dashboards to identify trends in overtime, premium pay, and labour cost exposure

  • Interpret AI-generated analytics insights and translate findings into clear business recommendations

  • Engage with scheduling managers, operations leaders, and other stakeholders to understand operational drivers behind cost spikes

  • Conduct root cause analysis on workforce and scheduling processes

  • Develop recommendations to reduce labour cost variance and improve operational efficiency
