Senior Analytics Engineer – Greenfield Data Platform – Amsterdam – Hybrid

Darwin Recruitment are partnered with an innovative international organisation based in Amsterdam that is investing heavily in the future of its data and analytics capability. As part of this growth, they are looking to hire a Senior Analytics Engineer to lead the design and build of a brand-new analytics platform.

This is a rare greenfield opportunity where you’ll be the first dedicated Analytics Engineer within the business, taking ownership of platform architecture, data modelling standards and engineering best practices. Rather than maintaining legacy systems, you’ll have the opportunity to build a modern cloud-based data platform that will support the organisation’s next phase of growth.

Working within a collaborative Product & Technology team, you’ll play a key role in shaping how data is managed, modelled and delivered across the business while working alongside experienced Analytics and Data professionals.

What You’ll Bring

• Commercial experience designing and building modern analytics or data platforms.
• Strong experience with Databricks and/or Snowflake.
• Excellent SQL and Python skills.
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (Azure experience is beneficial).
• Knowledge of modern data modelling and semantic layer design.
• Exposure to BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience working alongside Data Science or Machine Learning teams is advantageous.
• A proactive approach with the confidence to influence technical decisions and take ownership of a greenfield environment.
