Sales Manager – Photonics
The Role
As Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving business growth across North America by developing new customer relationships and expanding existing accounts. You’ll work with OEMs, research organisations, government contractors and industrial customers to understand their technical requirements and deliver tailored photonics solutions.
You’ll play a key role in developing commercial strategy, identifying new market opportunities and representing the company across a range of high-growth industries.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow revenue across key markets and strategic accounts.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities with OEMs, government contractors, research institutions and industrial customers.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through quotation, negotiation and contract award.
- Build long-term customer relationships by understanding technical requirements and delivering consultative sales support.
- Work closely with engineering and product teams to translate customer feedback into future product development.
- Represent the company at customer meetings, industry conferences and international trade shows.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, forecasting and CRM activity.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Business or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of technical sales or business development experience within photonics, optics, lasers, imaging or scientific instrumentation.
- Proven ability to generate new business and grow strategic customer accounts.
- Experience selling complex technical products into industrial, defence, aerospace, medical or research markets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable engaging with both technical and executive-level stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel throughout North America as required.
