Senior Java Data / Platform Engineer

• Commercial experience building backend systems in Java
• Strong background working with high-volume event streams and messaging platforms (Kafka or similar)
• Experience designing and running data-heavy, distributed architectures in the cloud
• Hands-on work with container platforms and infrastructure automation (Kubernetes, Terraform or equivalent)
• Solid SQL capability with experience tuning and operating relational databases at scale (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Exposure to DevOps workflows such as CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, and incident handling
• Comfortable collaborating with data science, product, and customer-facing teams
• Bonus points for Python usage and handling time-series or sensor data
