International Field Service Technician – Food Processing Machinery

Location: Netherlands

Salary: €3,500 – €5,500 gross per month, depending on experience

Travel: Extensive international travel

The Opportunity

We are currently supporting a growing international engineering business specialising in food-processing machinery and complete production solutions.

Due to continued expansion across Europe and internationally, they are looking to strengthen their Service team with experienced Field Service Technicians.

This is a genuinely international role for a hands-on technician who enjoys solving technical problems, working directly with customers and travelling to different sites across Europe and beyond.

Your Role

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and troubleshooting of specialist industrial food-processing equipment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Installing and commissioning machinery at customer sites
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults
• Carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance
• Repairing and replacing mechanical and electrical components
• Troubleshooting machinery and production equipment
• Supporting customers with technical issues
• Working with internal teams to resolve complex technical problems
• Ensuring equipment is operating safely and efficiently
• Providing technical guidance and support to customers

You will work across a variety of food-processing environments, with projects covering different areas of the industry.

What We Are Looking For

We are interested in technicians with a practical, hands-on background in:

• Mechanical engineering
• Electrical engineering
• Mechatronics
• Electromechanical systems
• Industrial machinery
• Automation
• Machine maintenance
• Field service

Ideally, you will have 2+ years of relevant hands-on experience in a service, maintenance, installation or commissioning environment.

Experience within the food-processing or food & beverage industry would be highly advantageous, although candidates from other industrial machinery environments will also be considered.

Most importantly, you should be confident working independently, diagnosing technical problems and finding practical solutions.

International Travel

Travel is a significant part of the position.

You will visit customer sites across Europe, with occasional international assignments outside Europe. You should therefore enjoy travelling, be comfortable working away from home and be adaptable to different customer environments.

Languages

Strong English communication skills are essential.

Additional languages are advantageous but not required.

Wij ondersteunen momenteel een groeiend internationaal technisch bedrijf dat gespecialiseerd is in voedselverwerkingsmachines en complete productielijnen.

Vanwege verdere groei in Europa en daarbuiten zijn zij op zoek naar ervaren Field Service Technicians / Servicemonteurs om het serviceteam te versterken.

Dit is een echt internationale functie voor een hands-on technicus die het leuk vindt om technische problemen op te lossen, rechtstreeks met klanten te werken en verschillende locaties in Europa en daarbuiten te bezoeken.

Jouw rol

Als Field Service Technician ben je verantwoordelijk voor de installatie, service, het onderhoud en de troubleshooting van specialistische industriële voedselverwerkingsmachines.

Jouw werkzaamheden bestaan onder andere uit:

• Installeren en inbedrijfstellen van machines bij klanten
• Diagnostiseren en oplossen van elektrische en mechanische storingen
• Uitvoeren van preventief en correctief onderhoud
• Repareren en vervangen van mechanische en elektrische componenten
• Verhelpen van storingen aan machines en productieapparatuur
• Ondersteunen van klanten bij technische problemen
• Samenwerken met interne teams om complexe technische problemen op te lossen
• Ervoor zorgen dat apparatuur veilig en efficiënt functioneert
• Geven van technische ondersteuning en advies aan klanten

Je werkt binnen verschillende omgevingen in de voedselverwerkende industrie, waarbij je betrokken bent bij uiteenlopende projecten en toepassingen.

Wat zoeken wij?

Wij zijn op zoek naar technici met een praktische, hands-on achtergrond binnen bijvoorbeeld:

• Werktuigbouwkunde
• Elektrotechniek
• Mechatronica
• Elektromechanische systemen
• Industriële machines
• Automatisering
• Machineonderhoud
• Field Service

Idealiter beschik je over minimaal 2 jaar relevante hands-on werkervaring binnen service, onderhoud, installatie of inbedrijfstelling.

Ervaring binnen de voedselverwerkende industrie of food & beverage is een sterke pré. Kandidaten met ervaring binnen andere industriële machineomgevingen worden echter ook zeker overwogen.

Het belangrijkste is dat je zelfstandig kunt werken, technische storingen kunt analyseren en praktische oplossingen weet te vinden.

Internationale reizen

Reizen vormt een belangrijk onderdeel van deze functie.

Je bezoekt klanten door heel Europa, met daarnaast incidenteel internationale opdrachten buiten Europa. Je vindt het daarom prettig om te reizen, regelmatig van huis te zijn en je gemakkelijk aan te passen aan verschillende klantomgevingen.

Talen

Goede beheersing van de Engelse taal is vereist.

Een aanvullende taal is een pré, maar geen vereiste.
