QAQC Manager – Data Centre Projects

Overview

We are seeking an experienced QAQC Manager to oversee the quality assurance and quality control delivery for a large-scale data centre project in Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, managing, and enforcing the project quality management system (QMS), ensuring all construction, installation, and systems meet rigorous industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the project-specific QAQC plan and Quality Management System (QMS) in line with client requirements.
• Review and approve Quality Control plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and technical documentation from subcontractors and vendors.
• Oversee Level 1-5 quality inspections, ensuring seamlessly documented handovers to the commissioning teams.
• Witness, validate, and sign off on civil, structural, architectural, electrical, and mechanical quality benchmarks.
• Coordinate directly with construction teams, client representatives, third-party inspectors, and regulatory bodies.
• Monitor installation quality on-site, perform regular quality audits, and proactively identify areas of non-conformance.
• Manage the project’s non-conformance report (NCR) process, driving root-cause analysis and implementing corrective/preventative actions.
• Compile, organize, and review final quality handovers, punch lists, “as-built” documentation, and lifetime quality records for project close-out.
• Lead site quality meetings and provide guidance to construction teams to foster a “right-first-time” culture.
• Ensure all QAQC activities comply with Irish building regulations, local statutory requirements, and global data centre standards.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience acting as a QAQC Manager or Senior QAQC Engineer on data centre, mission-critical, or large-scale industrial infrastructure projects.
• Deep understanding of QAQC systems, ITPs, handover procedures, and international quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Experience working within hyperscale or colocation data centre environments is highly desirable.
• Strong multi-disciplinary knowledge (ability to interpret civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings and specifications).
• Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
• Strong leadership, auditing, and problem-solving capabilities, with an eye for detail.
• Eligible to live and work in Ireland.
