Darwin is recruiting for a freelance SAP Project Manager with experience of SAP RISE, to join an exciting end client in the Digital sector. Preference is for candidates based in Italy, Spain, Portugal or CEE.

Job Title: SAP Project Manager (SAP RISE)

Must Have Experience:

• 5+ year’s experience as SAP Project Manager delivering end-to-end SAP programs (ECC to S/4HANA).
• Hands-on SAP RISE with SAP experience, including cloud transition governance and vendor coordination.
• Strong experience managing system conversion, brownfield, or selective carve-out projects.
• Solid understanding of SAP Activate methodology
• Fluent professional English (written and spoken).

Project Brief:

• The SAP Project Manager will lead a RISE with SAP-enabled S/4HANA transformation for a European organisation transitioning from legacy SAP ECC to a cloud-based S/4HANA landscape.
• The role will be responsible for overall project governance, coordination with SAP and the selected System Integrator, and ensuring delivery across scope, timeline, and budget.
• Key activities include managing the SAP RISE contract framework, overseeing technical migration streams, coordinating functional workstreams, and acting as the primary interface between business stakeholders and delivery partners.

• Contract Length: 9 months + extension
• Location: Remote (EU-based)
• Languages: English (Professional level)
• Rate: €€€ (competitive near-shore rates)
• Start Date: ASAP / April
