Account Manager / Technical Sales – Fiber Optic Sensing & Industrial Technology
Location: Fully Remote (Uk or Germany based)

Overview of the Role:
We are working with a fast-growing and highly innovative European technology company specialising in advanced sensing and engineering solutions for industrial and high-tech applications.
They are looking to hire a technically minded Account Manager / Technical Sales professional to support and expand their international customer base across sectors including fiber optic sensing, industrial instrumentation, photonics, and advanced engineering technologies.
This is a highly autonomous and internationally focused position within a collaborative technical sales team, offering the opportunity to work closely with customers across Europe and North America while contributing directly to the company’s continued commercial growth.
The role combines technical understanding with commercial responsibility, supporting customers through the full sales cycle while identifying and developing new business opportunities within complex engineering environments.
Candidate Profile
Essential:
- Previous experience within technical sales, account management, or business development
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with both engineering teams and customers
- Strong analytical and numerical thinking skills
- Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken)
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally
Required / Highly Preferred:
- Degree or strong academic background in Physics, Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Photonics, or a related technical/scientific discipline
- Experience working within technical or industrial environments involving complex engineered products or solutions
- Experience managing international customer relationships
- Comfortable operating within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and collaborative business environment
Beneficial:
- Experience within fiber optics, sensing technologies, photonics, industrial instrumentation, or related advanced technology markets
- Additional European language skills, particularly German or French
- Experience supporting customers across European and North American markets
- Experience delivering technical or commercial presentations to customers and stakeholders
