Darwin Space are currently hiring for a Systems Engineer on behalf of a business in Toulouse.
Responsibilities
* Plan and coordinate engineering activities across multiple workstreams.
* Own technical schedules, milestones, actions and dependencies.
* Track project progress against scope, schedule, cost and quality objectives.
* Coordinate engineers and external partners to deliver agreed technical outputs.
* Maintain project risk and issue registers and drive actions to closure.
* Run technical/project meetings and ensure clear ownership of actions.
* Communicate project status, risks and decisions to engineering and company leadership.
* Support resource planning and prioritisation across engineering activities.
* Contribute to project planning, estimates, statements of work and customer deliverables.
Essential
* Degree/Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
* 3-5 years of professional experience in systems engineering, aerospace, space, defence or another complex engineering environment.
* Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and the V-model.
* Experience defining, managing and tracing system requirements.
* Experience working across multiple engineering disciplines and managing technical interfaces.
* Demonstrated experience in project or technical project management, including planning, scheduling, risk management and stakeholder coordination.
* Ability to take ownership of a technical workstream and drive it through to completion.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Fluent English; French is highly desirable.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can evolve quickly.
