Electrical Commissioning Engineer (Contract)
Location: Istanbul, Turkey (On-site – Data Centre Project)
Employment Type: 3-Month Contract (With possibility of extension)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to support Commissioning Managers in delivering the commissioning process for a major Data Centre facility in Istanbul, Turkey.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in planning, coordinating, and delivering successful commissioning activities, while ensuring systems meet project specifications, performance requirements, and industry standards. This is an initial 3-month contract with a strong possibility of extension based on project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the full commissioning process for Electrical and building systems.
- Review and deliver commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules aligned with project milestones.
- Review and approve test scripts, reports, and documentation to verify compliance.
- Coordinate with design, construction, and operations teams to resolve technical issues.
- Undertake and coordinate site inspections and witness functional performance testing.
- Ensure commissioning activities meet contractual obligations, codes, and industry best practices.
- Manage commissioning resources, including assigning tasks and mentoring junior engineers.
- Provide regular progress reports to the commissioning management team.
- Support handover to operations teams with clear documentation and training.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: BSc or MSc in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in building services, MEP systems, or commissioning delivery , with a strong emphasis on critical infrastructure and data centres.
- Software: Familiarity with online project management and handover software platforms.
- Standards: Strong knowledge of commissioning standards, guidelines, and industry codes of practice.
- Leadership: Proven project management, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Certifications: Professional certifications (e.g., CSA, NEBB, BCA, ACG) are highly advantageous.
