About the role
Engineer responsible for managing EDA tools used in the design and verification flow of integrated circuits and system on chips. Tasks may include installation, automation and upgrading of tools for speeding up flow development and maximizing license usage across IC design teams.
Responsibilities:
- Tool Integration: Install, integrate, and support industry-standard Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics).
- PDK installation and management to make sure the database is up to date.
- IT support including server infrastructure management to maximize CPU/RAM utilization across projects.
- Develop & Automate Flows based on EDA usage and project execution.
- Create and maintain automated design, verification, and physical implementation flows using scripting languages (Python, TCL, Bash) and EDA tools.
- Project database management including versioning and back-ups.
- Support & Training: Provide technical support and guidance to design and verification engineers on new tools and methodologies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with circuit design, layout, and third-party tool vendors.
- Quality & Documentation: Ensure quality delivery, adhering to design guidelines, and documenting work.
Requirements:
- Education: BSc / MSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Programming: Strong scripting skills (Python, TCL, Perl, Bash etc) and software development experience.
- EDA Tools: Experience with tools for RTL simulations, synthesis, timing analysis (STA), layout, DRC/LVS etc.
- Nice to have: Knowledge of digital/analog design, DFT, simulations (Monte Carlo, PVT).
