Mechanical Engineer | Autonomous Maritime Systems | LA

I’m working with a venture-backed defence startup building the next generation of autonomous surface vessels (ASVs) for national security and critical infrastructure protection.

They’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer who genuinely enjoys building real hardware.

This is not a paperwork-heavy or purely CAD-focused role. The environment is highly hands-on, designing, prototyping, testing, iterating, breaking things, improving them, and taking products all the way through to production.

The kind of person likely to thrive here:

• Strong SOLIDWORKS/mechanical design background
• Comfortable with DFM/DFA and manufacturer interaction
• Enjoys prototyping, CNC, machining, and physical hardware development
• Interested in robotics, autonomy, ruggedized systems, or marine environments
• Product-minded engineer who likes solving practical engineering problems

The company is building scalable autonomous vessels designed to support modern defence operations and protect critical maritime assets.

They can pay up to $140k plus gneerous equity as you will be joining as an early member of the team.
