Senior Electrical Engineer – Solar PV & Energy Storage
Location: Germany (with occasional European travel)
Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking to play a key role in the delivery of large-scale renewable energy projects? Join a growing international renewable energy business and help drive the successful design, standardisation, and implementation of solar PV and battery energy storage systems across Europe.
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will act as a technical expert for project teams, supporting the engineering, construction, and commissioning of utility-scale renewable energy projects while ensuring the highest standards of quality and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the electrical design of Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), including LV and MV systems

Develop and review technical specifications, single-line diagrams, protection concepts, and grounding designs

Provide technical support during tendering processes, bid evaluations, and contractor selection

Support factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), commissioning, and project handover activities
-
Contribute to SCADA, monitoring systems, CAD planning, and overall system integration

Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and grid requirements

Drive engineering standardisation and continuous improvement initiatives across projects

Collaborate closely with development, construction, commissioning, and external stakeholder teams
What We’re Looking For:
-
Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
-
Proven experience in the engineering and delivery of Solar PV projects
-
Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) is advantageous
-
Strong understanding of medium-voltage systems, protection schemes, and protection coordination
-
Experience using engineering tools such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, and/or DIgSILENT is beneficial

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Strong attention to detail with a structured and quality-focused approach

Fluent English language skills; additional languages are an advantage

Willingness to travel within Europe as required
