An established renewable energy developer is seeking a Project Developer to join their team near Bremen. This company has a strong focus on wind and photovoltaic (solar) projects, with a growing pipeline across Northern and Eastern Germany.
The Role
As a Project Developer, you will take responsibility for the full lifecycle of renewable energy projects, from initial site identification through to ready-to-build (RTB) stage. Your focus will be on permitting and planning, working closely with landowners, local authorities, and technical experts.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and development of wind and photovoltaic (PV) projects in Germany
- Site acquisition and assessment (legal, technical, and environmental feasibility)
- Securing property rights and managing contractual agreements
- Drafting and negotiating land and project-related contracts
- Coordinating with public authorities, consultants, and partners to obtain building permits
- Managing project documentation and progress through to RTB handover
Your Profile
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in renewable energy project development (wind and/or solar)
- Understanding of regional planning, site planning, nature conservation law, and contract drafting
- Experience managing projects through the entire lifecycle (from land acquisition to RTB)
- Proficiency with tools such as WindPro, AutoCAD, QGIS, or PV-Sol is an advantage
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, particularly when dealing with landowners and local authorities
- Willingness to travel within Germany as required
Experience with battery energy storage systems (BESS) is beneficial but not essential.
