About the Role:
My client is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Project and Construction Manager to join their growing railway construction team in Zurich. You will play a key role in managing complex projects from planning and execution to successful completion, ensuring they meet deadlines, quality standards, and budget constraints. This is a unique opportunity to work on large-scale projects across
Switzerland and Germany, contribute to shaping a new branch within the company, and collaborate with adiverse and dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage construction projects in railway construction (including PGV according to EBG) for national and private railway companies
- Oversee all aspects of projects, including planning, execution, and commissioning (SIA 31-53)
- Collaborate effectively with various project stakeholders, including specialist services, builders, offices, and authorities
- Embrace digitalization and BIM methodologies
- Share knowledge and mentor junior team members
Qualifications:
- Civil engineering degree (ETH/TU/FH or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in railway construction project management
- Strong understanding of Swiss railway standards and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in German (C2 level or native)
- Additional language skills in Italian or French preferred
- Independent, results-oriented, and adaptable with a strong sense of initiative
- Motivated, communicative, and solution-oriented with a collaborative spirit
