Are you a practical problem-solver who takes pride in flawless mechanical work? We’re hiring energetic Sprinkler Fitters to build, install and commission life-safety systems that protect people and property every day. This is high-impact, hands-on work – you’ll see the results of your craft on site, work with a tight, skilled team, and grow into senior field or supervisory roles.
What you’ll be doing

Install, align and hang sprinkler pipe, fittings, valves and hangers per drawings and specs.

Assemble, thread, weld and pressure-test piping spools for wet, dry and pre-action systems.

Perform hydrostatic and operational tests, document results, and correct deficiencies.

Read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, shop drawings and as-built markups.

Work with project leads, contractors and AHJs to ensure code compliance and on-time handovers.

Rig, lift and secure pipe runs using hoists, cranes and rigging gear – follow safe lifting procedures.

Maintain tools, truck inventory and parts lists; report materials needs and submit time/inspection paperwork.

Mentor apprentices and coordinate with service teams during commissioning and turnover.
Who you are (must-haves)

2+ years installing fire protection or industrial piping (sprinkler fitter, pipefitter, steamfitter or similar).

Comfortable with threading, cutting, bending pipe, coupling assemblies and basic welding/fit-up.

Able to read construction drawings and follow installation specs.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites; clean driving record preferred.

Physically fit: able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders and work at height safely.

Safety first: understands LOTO, PPE and safe work practices.
Nice to have
-
NICET certification or active pursuit (Level I/II).

Union experience or membership (if applicable in your market).

Experience with fire pumps, backflow assemblies, and specialty valves.

Forklift, crane or rigging certification.

Welding certification (MIG/TIG/Stick) or proven fabrication skills.

Work environment & schedule
