Overview of the Role

We are partnering with a rapidly growing high-tech engineering company that develops complex electrical and mechanical systems used in demanding, safety-critical environments. They are looking to hire an Electrical Engineer – DC Systems & Test Integration to support the assembly, integration and testing of advanced electrical power systems.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll be responsible for building electrical test setups, integrating hardware, troubleshooting complex systems and ensuring reliable system performance throughout development and validation.

Candidate Profile

Essential:

• Hands-on experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
• Experience building, wiring and commissioning electrical test benches.
• Experience testing and troubleshooting DC electrical motors or power systems.
• Strong practical electrical engineering skills with a hands-on approach.
• Comfortable working throughout the integration and testing lifecycle.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Required / Highly Preferred:

• Experience working with medium to high-voltage DC systems (approximately 400V).
• Experience integrating electrical power distribution or propulsion systems.
• Background within a complex engineering environment such as industrial automation, transportation, renewable energy, aerospace, defence, marine or heavy equipment.
• Experience working alongside software, controls or automation engineers.

Beneficial:

• Experience within a safety-critical engineering environment.
• Knowledge of functional safety or structured system safety methodologies.
• Experience working to recognised engineering or industry standards.
• Experience supporting prototype development or new product introduction.
