MEP Commissioning Engineer / Commissioning Manager
We are looking for an experienced MEP Commissioning Engineer / Commissioning Manager to support the transition from construction into commissioning on two data-center projects in Frankfurt. This is a two-month assignment, with the possibility of extension, focused on commissioning readiness, vendor coordination, and handover support on behalf of the General Contractor.
The role is primarily about coordinating the move from construction to commissioning, managing interfaces between vendors, subcontractors, client representatives, and design consultants, and ensuring the commissioning process is properly controlled through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate commissioning vendors and subcontractors through L3, L4, and L5 testing.
- Review test scripts, method statements, schedules, and commissioning deliverables.
- Act as the main point of contact between the client’s commissioning agent, design consultants, and vendors.
- Witness tests, track issues, and drive close-out through to handover.
- Ensure QC checks, ITPs, snagging, and documentation are properly managed.
- Support integrated testing, BMS/EPMS coordination, and final handover preparation.
Technical Scope
- Mechanical systems including HVAC, pumps, chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, AHUs, cooling systems, ductwork, and pipework.
- Electrical systems including MV/LV switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS, ATS/STS, busway, PDUs, and RPPs.
- Fire & life safety systems including fire alarm, VESDA, sprinklers, pre-action, gas suppression, smoke management, and emergency lighting.
Requirements
- Strong MEP commissioning experience in data centre or mission-critical projects.
- Experience supporting the transition from construction into commissioning.
- Good understanding of vendor coordination, testing, issue tracking, and handover.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
