Role Overview
We are seeking a Rotary Screw Service Technician to join our Chicago team. This is a field service position, responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and optimizing rotary screw compressors and related compressed air equipment. This role is ideal for a technician with strong technical expertise, leadership ability, and a passion for solving problems in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair rotary screw compressors, air dryers, filtration, and related compressed air systems.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and emergency service calls.
- Conduct start-up, commissioning, and system performance testing.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.
- Maintain accurate service documentation, job reporting, and parts usage.
- Communicate effectively with customers, ensuring clarity on service findings and recommendations.
- Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives within the other branch.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of field service experience in compressed air systems, with expertise in rotary screw compressors.
- OEM Factory Training Certificates
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Refrigeration/HVAC experience or training is a plus
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and leadership skills.
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
