Darwin Space are currently hiring for a Senior Mechanical & Thermal Engineer in Luxembourg.
Qualifications
* Holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
* Have at least 10 years of professional experience in the relevant field.
* Has experience with both mechanical and thermal FEA.
* Has experience writing quality technical documentation.
* Has a citizenship from a member state of both EU and NATO.
Responsibilities
* Design, analyse, procure, assemble and test mechanical parts and mechanisms of (space and ground) terminals or mechanical ground support equipments.
* Develop mechanical and thermal requirements in line with systems requirements.
* Manage the mechanical and thermal department (task clarifications, inputs & outputs verifications, support incremental development of the team and best practices).
* Perform mechanical and thermal analysis.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure development in line with requirements
* Support the testing and validation activities.
* Prepare and maintain technical documentation, such as system design definitions and ICD
