Lead E&I Engineer – Pharmaceutical Projects
Client: Global Pharmaceutical Company
Location: Project-based (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Sites)

Type of Work: Electrical & Instrumentation Installation, Construction & Commissioning (GMP / Pharma)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer with strong Project Management experience to support long-term pharmaceutical projects. This is a client-side / owner’s representative role, working closely with the appointed General Contractor to ensure successful delivery of E&I works.
The position is highly hands-on, with involvement across the full project lifecycle-from installation through commissioning-within regulated GMP pharmaceutical environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as Lead E&I Engineer representing the client on site
* Oversee and manage E&I installation activities through construction and commissioning
* Apply Project Management principles to planning, coordination, reporting, and risk management
* Support and assist the General Contractor to ensure E&I works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
* Review E&I designs, technical documentation, and installation methodologies
* Coordinate with client engineering, quality, automation, and project teams
* Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and quality standards
* Maintain a strong on-site presence with hands-on involvement in day-to-day activities
* Support commissioning, qualification, testing, and handover processes
* Identify risks, resolve technical issues, and drive continuous improvement across the E&I scope
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Lead E&I Engineer
* Strong Project Management background within construction or engineering projects
* Experience working on pharmaceutical / GMP projects
* Solid knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems in regulated environments
* Experience working client-side / owner’s representative is an advantage
* Hands-on approach with strong site involvement
* Ability to work effectively with General Contractors and multiple stakeholders
* Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills
* Comfortable working on a long-term contract assignment
