Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager for a major 12-18 month mission-critical energy and infrastructure project in West Dublin. This role manages on-site mechanical installation, focusing on heavy industrial process pipework, structural steel integration, and equipment positioning. You will oversee mechanical sub-contractors, monitor schedules, and ensure all works align with strict safety and design specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Supervision: Oversee daily mechanical construction activities, installation sequences, and contractor workflows.
- Sub-contractor Management: Act as the primary point of contact for mechanical and structural sub-contractors on-site.
- Schedule & Delivery: Track project milestones against the master construction schedule to prevent delays.
- Technical Coordination: Resolve technical queries, variations, and RFI processes between engineering teams and site crews.
- Health & Safety: Enforce rigorous site-specific EHS protocols across all mechanical packages.
Candidate Requirements (Must-Haves)
- Experience: 3+ years of Construction Management experience on mission-critical projects (Data Centres, Pharmaceuticals, or Power Generation).
- Technical Expertise: Proven track record managing heavy industrial process pipework installations and modular equipment delivery.
- Qualifications: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant trade background with extensive heavy industrial management experience.
- Site Credentials: Valid Safe Pass and relevant supervisory safety qualifications (e.g., Managing Safely in Construction / SMSTS).
- Communication: Exceptional leadership skills to manage multi-discipline site teams and sub-contractors.
