Darwin Space are hiring for a Satellite Architect on behalf of a company in Toulouse.
MISSIONS:
Your activities are divided between these two sites, working on space systems (satellites) but also on aerial platforms such as balloons/aircraft.
* You define the avionics architecture of the platforms on which you work (satellites and balloons/aircraft):
* Definition of electrical interfaces,
* Energy sizing
* Low-level protocols,
* Data flows and bandwidth budgets,
* Management and propagation of edge time.
* You participate in the definition, monitoring and validation of EGSEs, interfacing with avionics platforms.
* You interact with equipment manufacturers (central computer, EPS, SCAO equipment, sensors, actuators, etc.), verify the suitability to system needs and participate in anomaly investigations.
* You work closely with flight system and software managers to jointly define HW/SW interactions, qualifications, equipment usage modes and observables.
* You will be providing support:
* Hardware/Software Integration
* AIT avionics activities,
* Validation and qualification of functional chains
* You participate in project reviews, technical meetings and write progress reports in your area.
* Supporting the Head of the Functional Avionics Competence Centre, you are available to contribute to the development of competitive and innovative pre-sales offers, both for satellite projects and for air platforms.
PROFILE:
* 5 years of experience with expertise in developing satellite avionics architecture and/or real-time avionics systems
* Proficiency in computer programming of electronic equipment
* Proficient in power supply systems (EPS, solar panels, etc.)
* Good knowledge of mixed electronics
* Proficiency in electrical standards: LVTTL, LVDS, RS485/422
* Knowledge of low-level exchange protocols: Spacewire, UART, CA
* A solid knowledge of RF would be a significant advantage
