Design and optimize photonic components (waveguides, MMIs, couplers, filters)

Run simulations (EME, FDTD, FEM) and validate performance

Work with foundry PDKs and ensure DRC compliance

Build programmatic layouts and contribute to code reviews
-
Has completed multiple tape outs
-
Has worked with various photonics foundries
-
Worked in a commercial photonic design team
-
Multiple tape-outs and foundry experience
-
Experience with tools like Lumerical, IPKISS, GDSFactory, KLayout (or similar)
-
At least a Bachelors degree in Physics, Computer Science or any other relevant field
-
Preferred Masters degree in a relevant field
-
Bonus+ PhD in Photonics
-
Full time onsite in Munich, Germany
