The Compliance Specialist, International Shipping (Germany/EU) supports a global e-commerce business by ensuring cross-border shipping from the EU, particularly Germany, meets EU and German trade and environmental regulations.
Ideal for a detail-oriented early-career professional who can support audits, documentation, and compliance reviews across international shipping routes.
Key skills and Experience required
- 1-3 years’ experience in trade compliance, customs, logistics, or regulatory operations
- Background in e-commerce or cross-border shipping preferred
- Knowledge of EU export controls, sanctions, customs procedures, VAT/IOSS, and environmental compliance frameworks
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret regulations and guidance
- Confident communicator across international and cross-functional teams
- Analytical mindset with good Excel / Google Sheets skills
- Experience with audits, trade data validation, classification, or reporting processes is beneficial
- Self-starter with a collaborative approach and interest in global trade compliance
