Location: France / Remote (regular travel across Europe and to company offices)
Salary: €70,000 Base Salary + Uncapped Commission (flexible for exceptional candidates)

Overview of the Role
We are working with an innovative marine technology company that is transforming how offshore survey and inspection projects are delivered. Their proprietary technology provides a highly efficient alternative to traditional vessel-based survey operations, helping clients reduce costs, improve operational flexibility, and support environmental objectives.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to hire a Business Development Manager to drive commercial expansion across the offshore energy market. This is a high-impact role focused on winning new business, developing strategic customer relationships, and positioning cutting-edge survey solutions with major industry operators.
The successful candidate will play a key role in accelerating market adoption of a disruptive technology platform, working with stakeholders across sectors including offshore wind, oil & gas, environmental monitoring, and marine infrastructure.
Candidate Profile
Essential
- Proven track record in business development, sales, or commercial management within the offshore energy, marine technology, subsea, or related industries.
- Demonstrable success securing new business opportunities and delivering revenue growth.
- Established network of contacts across major energy operators, developers, or offshore industry stakeholders.
- Experience working within or alongside North Sea offshore operations.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage the full sales lifecycle from lead generation through to contract award.
- Ability to engage confidently with both technical and commercial decision-makers.
- Self-motivated and capable of operating effectively within a remote-working environment.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
Required / Highly Preferred
- Existing relationships with leading offshore energy organisations, developers, or operators.
- Experience selling technology-led, engineering, survey, subsea, or offshore service solutions.
- Background developing strategic accounts and long-term customer partnerships.
- Experience representing organisations at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
Beneficial
- Exposure to environmental surveys, marine monitoring, sustainability, or ecological assessment projects.
- Knowledge of autonomous systems, unmanned technologies, robotics, or advanced survey solutions.
- Experience supporting offshore wind developments or renewable energy projects.
- Additional European language skills.
