We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with a strong specialization in Building Management Systems (BMS) to support our data center operations in Texas. This is a contract role for a technically adept professional who can ensure the mechanical systems and BMS integration operate efficiently, reliably, and meet the highest standards of performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, maintain, and optimize mechanical systems within data center environments, including HVAC, chilled water, and CRAC units.
- Oversee and troubleshoot BMS controls, ensuring seamless integration with mechanical systems.
- Conduct regular inspections, performance monitoring, and preventive maintenance of mechanical and BMS infrastructure.
- Collaborate with operations, electrical engineers, and IT teams to maintain uptime and operational efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance and documentation for system upgrades, retrofits, and modifications.
- Support commissioning, testing, and validation of mechanical and control systems.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer in data center environments.
- Strong expertise in BMS platforms (e.g., Schneider, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, or similar).
- Knowledge of HVAC, chilled water systems, pumps, piping, and CRAC units.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and control logic diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
