Our client is in a significant growth stage and focuses on developing robust cloud solutions to support both current and expanding application needs. The biggest challenge in this role will be architecting cloud infrastructure that meets rigorous demands for scalability, security, and reliability-all while working to fully automate the environment. In this role you will be tasked with the design of this platform while you will also be building it yourself, together with other engineers.
I’m looking for someone who:
- Has at least 5 years of experience working with Amazon Web Services and Azure as a cloud engineer or similar (hands-on).
- Is ideally also certified with AWS Solutions Architect or similar, with expertise in both AWS and Azure services and architecture.
- Is experienced in developing self-service platforms for automated software delivery.
- Has strong experience with Terraform (mandatory), CI/CD tools, and Infrastructure as Code principles.
- Brings a solid background in networking, security best practices, and automation.
- Has hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and deploying applications in cloud environments.
- Is proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Powershell.
- Understands DevOps and has worked with continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
- Has experience managing large, complex cloud environments, including multi-cloud and hybrid infrastructures.

- Architecting and optimizing cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance.
- Building and maintaining an automated self-service platform for various internal departments.
- Collaborating with Information Security to embed security best practices across cloud deployments.
- Leading infrastructure initiatives, including design, build, and deployment, using tools such as Terraform.
- Participating in the planning and release processes for staging and production environments.
- Automating infrastructure management to increase efficiency and reduce deployment times.
- Supporting and troubleshooting production issues, working closely with DevOps and support teams.
