About the company
The company focuses on the development, engineering, production, installation, and service of HVAC systems, NBC filter systems, and customized chillers (water chillers). We are particularly involved in projects for the marine industry as well as yacht building companies, both nationally and internationally.
For the Field Service department, we are seeking a driven Field Service Technician who, together with the existing team of Service employees, Engineers, and Project Managers, will take on the challenge of performing maintenance on onboard ship installations within the fields of refrigeration and air conditioning. You will work in a dynamic environment where you will be part of project teams for submarines, surface vessels, and yachts, from design through to commissioning.
These are your duties
As a Field Service Engineer, you are the person in charge representing the company at our clients’ locations. These can be smaller assignments domestically and abroad, mostly at marine and yacht building companies, where you apply your Electrical, Mechanical, and Refrigeration knowledge to solve problems.
You may also work on larger new-build, modification, or retrofit projects where you will eventually take responsibility for supervising execution on-site while also being willing to get hands-on and support the practical work.
Your responsibilities include:
- Efficiently resolving malfunctions, starting up, and checking refrigeration systems and machinery
- Performing maintenance on installations
- Advising clients on operation, maintenance, repairs, and potential risks
- Preparing reports for clients and internal teams to support process and product improvements
What do you get in return?
- A salary commensurate with your experience and position
- 8% holiday allowance, profit sharing, reimbursement for commuting, and an excellent pension scheme
- Future prospects, including the intention to obtain a permanent contract in the long term
- 27 vacation days and 13 ADV days
- An active employee association, company fitness programme, lease bike scheme, and discounts on various (health) insurance policies
- Career advancement and training opportunities
- A stable, growing, and financially healthy employer
What do you need for this role?
- Working and thinking level equivalent to MBO Electrical Engineering/Mechatronics
- Strong affinity with Mechanical Engineering, particularly refrigeration technology
- STEK diploma or F-gas certificate, or willingness to obtain one
- English and Dutch language skills (written and spoken)
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively when required
- Strong technical and administrative preparation skills
- Ability to document and report work clearly
Studies show that many job seekers only apply if they meet 100% of the qualifications. Hopefully, this does not apply to you! If you meet the requirements but do not yet have the required education level or experience, we still encourage you to apply.
Where will you be working?
You will be working in Hattemerbroek within the Naval Technologies department. The role involves working outside regular office hours and on weekends. Due to the nature of the work, you will be away from home for at least 75% of your working time, both domestically and internationally.
The organization specialises in the development, engineering, production, installation, and service of HVAC systems, NBC filter systems, and customised chillers. We deliver solutions for naval projects and other specialised markets, both nationally and internationally.
The department is a close-knit organisation with an informal culture, where employees have plenty of opportunity for personal input and development.
The company is currently experiencing strong growth, creating opportunities for colleagues to develop their careers. Despite this growth, the organisation maintains a family-oriented culture where employees are valued and supported. Continuous innovation in products and services is central to its success, supported by ongoing employee development and training opportunities.
