Senior Authorised Person (SAP) – Electrical (MV)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to join a major data centre project in Frankfurt. This is a key leadership position responsible for the implementation of Electrical Safety Rules, management of switching activities, permit-to-work systems, LOTO procedures, and energisation programmes across critical electrical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the lead Senior Authorised Person for MV and LV electrical systems.
• Oversee the implementation and compliance of Electrical Safety Rules.
• Manage and supervise Authorised Persons (APs) on site.
• Review and approve switching schedules, isolations, and energisation plans.
• Control and manage electrical permits-to-work.
• Lead LOTO (Lock Out / Tag Out) processes across the project.
• Support commissioning, testing, energisation, and project handover activities.
• Ensure compliance with Arc Flash requirements and electrical safety standards.
• Conduct toolbox talks and provide technical guidance on electrical safety matters.
• Investigate electrical incidents, dangerous occurrences, and operational restrictions.
• Liaise with project management, commissioning teams, subcontractors, and client representatives.

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) on MV electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety rules, permit systems, and switching operations.
• Experience managing energisation and commissioning activities on large-scale projects.
• Background within data centres, power generation, utilities, pharmaceutical, industrial, or mission-critical environments.
• Strong understanding of MV switchgear, transformers, electrical distribution systems, and protection schemes.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing APs, contractors, and project stakeholders.

Desirable

• Previous data centre or mission-critical project experience.
• Experience working with Tier 1 contractors such as Mercury, Dornan, Jones Engineering, Winthrop, Kirby, or similar.
• Recent MV/HV Authorised Person or Senior Authorised Person certification.
• Experience supporting multiple projects or campus environments.
