Deputy CTO | Hospitality Technology | Relocation to Mexico

Lead the technology strategy behind one of the most established hospitality groups in the Americas.

We’re partnering with a major international hospitality organisation to appoint an ambitious Deputy CTO who is ready to step into a highly visible leadership role.

This is an opportunity to join a business that develops all of its technology in-house and is investing heavily in its next phase of digital transformation. Following continued growth and an ongoing technology migration, they’re looking for a technology leader who can challenge the status quo, influence strategic decisions and help shape the future of their engineering organisation.

Reporting directly to the CTO and Board member, you’ll play a key role in leading large-scale engineering teams while acting as the bridge between executive leadership and technical delivery.

The Role

This is a leadership-first position, combining technology strategy, people leadership and architectural oversight.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading an engineering organisation of approximately 100 people through four direct reports.
• Providing technical leadership across software engineering, QA, Scrum Masters and engineering management teams.
• Driving engineering best practices and architectural direction.
• Supporting an organisation-wide technology migration.
• Working closely with executive leadership to define technology strategy.
• Mentoring and developing engineering leaders.
• Challenging technical decisions while creating a collaborative, high-performing culture.
• Travelling to offices and resort locations across Mexico and internationally as required.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an experienced technology leader who has progressed from a strong software engineering background into senior management.

You’ll ideally have:

• A hands-on software engineering background with previous experience developing in .NET.
• Experience leading large engineering teams within complex organisations.
• Current or previous experience as an Engineering Manager, Head of Engineering, Engineering Director, Deputy CTO or CTO.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and modern engineering practices.
• Experience working with Odoo ERP.
• Previous experience within the hospitality sector, with a solid understanding of booking platforms, reservation systems and hospitality technology ecosystems.

Location

This role is based at the company’s headquarters in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico.

The expectation is primarily office-based working, with flexibility for up to two remote days per week.

Relocation Package

The business offers a comprehensive relocation package, including:

• Visa and work permit sponsorship.

Salary & Benefits

• MXN $175,000 per month (approximately USD $9,000-10,000 per month).
