Installation Team Leader – Vestas V150 6.0 MW

We are currently seeking an experienced Installation Team Leader to support a major onshore wind farm project in Germany. The successful candidate will lead installation activities on Vestas V150 6.0 MW wind turbines, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules and quality standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on wind professional with previous Vestas installation experience who is looking to take ownership of site activities and lead installation crews on a large-scale renewable energy project.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate turbine installation teams during all phases of construction and erection activities.
- Supervise the installation of Vestas V150 6.0 MW turbines, including tower, nacelle, hub, and blade assembly.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Vestas procedures, project specifications, and HSE requirements.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks, safety briefings, and team meetings.
- Monitor progress against project milestones and report status updates to Site Management.
- Coordinate with crane operators, subcontractors, logistics teams, and commissioning personnel.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout installation activities.
- Identify and resolve technical and operational issues on site.
- Support site documentation, reporting, and completion records.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with German and project-specific regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Installation Team Leader, Lead Technician, Supervisor, or similar role within the wind industry.
- Previous hands-on experience installing Vestas wind turbines, ideally V150 6.0 MW platforms.
- Strong understanding of turbine erection and installation procedures.
- Ability to lead multinational teams in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
- Ability to work at height and in demanding outdoor conditions.
- Fluent English required; German language skills are advantageous.

- GWO First Aid
- GWO Fire Awareness
- Valid medical certificate for work at height
- Relevant mechanical or electrical qualification preferred
