As an HVAC Service and Controls Technician based out of the Virginia branch, you will handle the setup, servicing, and performance improvement of HVAC and automation systems. This role requires strong technical knowledge in controls, effective fault-finding abilities, and a focus on high-quality customer support.
Key Duties
- Diagnose and fix issues within HVAC control and automation systems
- Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance
- Adjust and calibrate system components such as sensors and controllers
- Install and update control systems, wiring, and associated equipment
- Work with clients and site teams to resolve technical problems
- Read and interpret technical diagrams and operating sequences
- Test and confirm system performance after maintenance or upgrades
- Keep clear and accurate records of service work
- Follow all health and safety requirements
- Maintain system documentation, including manuals and records
- Provide basic training to users and maintenance staff
- Attend urgent callouts and resolve critical system faults
Skills & Experience
- At least 3 years’ experience with HVAC controls or building automation
- Good understanding of HVAC systems and control methods
- Experience diagnosing faults in control systems and devices
- Ability to read electrical and control schematics
- Familiarity with common building automation platforms
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel locally.
