Installation Coordinator – Vestas V150 6.0 MW

We are seeking an experienced Installation Coordinator to support a major onshore wind farm project in Germany involving the installation of Vestas V150 6.0 MW wind turbines. The successful candidate will play a critical role in coordinating site activities, managing schedules, tracking progress, and ensuring effective communication between installation teams, subcontractors, logistics providers, and project management.
This position is ideal for a wind industry professional with strong organisational skills and experience supporting turbine installation projects in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily installation activities across the wind farm site.
- Support the planning and execution of Vestas V150 6.0 MW turbine installation works.
- Monitor installation progress and track project milestones against the construction schedule.
- Liaise with Installation Team Leaders, Site Managers, subcontractors, and logistics teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, tools, and materials required for installation activities.
- Maintain and update project documentation, reports, and progress trackers.
- Schedule and coordinate deliveries, crane operations, and site resources.
- Support permit management and ensure all required documentation is completed before works commence.
- Attend daily site meetings and provide status updates to project stakeholders.
- Assist in identifying and resolving scheduling conflicts, resource shortages, and operational challenges.
- Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with project procedures, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Installation Coordinator, Site Coordinator, Project Coordinator, or similar role within the wind energy sector.
- Experience supporting the installation of Vestas wind turbines, ideally V150 6.0 MW platforms.
- Strong understanding of onshore wind farm construction and turbine installation processes.
- Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Project reporting tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic site environment.
- Experience working with multinational teams and subcontractors.
- Fluent English required; German language skills are advantageous.
