Product Assurance Engineer

Darwin Recruitment are hiring for a Product Assurance Engineer on behalf of a company in Poland who were founded in 2016 and are a Polish high-tech company specializing in advanced vision and optical systems for both space and industrial applications. They design and build high-precision cameras, telescopes, and imaging systems used in satellites, defence, and manufacturing. Their technology already has flight heritage, meaning their optical instruments have flown successfully on real space missions. On the industrial side, they deliver AI-enabled machine-vision solutions that automate quality control, detect defects, and improve production efficiency across sectors like automotive, packaging, and electronics. This company combines space-grade imaging technology with industrial automation, offering reliable, high-accuracy vision systems that improve performance, reduce errors, and support modern digital manufacturing.

Responsibilities

* Support aerospace engineering projects in the role of PA (Product Assurance) Engineer.

* Develop the project-specific PA/QA Plan and monitor its execution.

* Collaborate closely with design teams by conducting internal reviews of documentation prepared in accordance with ECSS standards and project-specific requirement specifications.

* Work directly with the customer through design reviews and non-conformity reporting.

* Prepare PA/QA quality provisions with emphasis on traceability related to parts, materials, processes, procurement, inspection, testing, assembly integration, and operational activities.

* Support project MAIT (Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration, and Testing) activities by reviewing procurement/production specifications, defining control measures applicable to purchased components, verifying compliance with defined integration and test procedures, and assisting operators during their execution.

* Define and monitor qualification activities required for the implementation of proposed design solutions, selected suppliers, manufacturers, and test facilities.

* Verify compliance with customer-specific requirements through proposed actions.

* Conduct risk analyses, failure mode analyses, and reliability assessments of developed mechanisms.

* Participate in the preparation of new project proposals in the role of PA Engineer.

* Implement processes resulting from ISO 9001 certification and support the introduction of AS/EN 9100 standards.

* Support the execution of PA/QA processes within the company.

Requirements

* Engineering degree in Quality Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

* Excellent command of English, enabling preparation of documentation and direct communication with customers during design reviews.

* Experience with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.

* Experience in reviewing mechanical documentation, including production specifications.

* Ability to systematically monitor ongoing processes, improve them through collaboration with engineering teams and customers, and analyze deviations from planned activities.

* Work experience with ISO 9001 certification standards.

Additional desirable skills

* Professional experience as a PA/QA Engineer.

* Knowledge of ECSS standards in the space industry or experience working on ESA contracts.

* Experience in reviewing mechanical engineering development projects.

* Practical knowledge of mechanics, materials science, electronics, and optics.

* Ability to conduct risk and reliability analyses.
