Job Summary:
The Air Compressor Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of air compressor systems, ensuring their optimal functionality and reliability. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on air compressor systems, including rotary screw, reciprocating, and centrifugal compressors.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Replace, repair, or adjust components such as motors, filters, belts, and valves.
- Test system performance using diagnostic tools and interpret results to ensure optimal functionality.
- Provide technical support and training to customers on proper equipment operation and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate service records and reports for all work performed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, company policies, and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with team members and management to improve processes and service quality.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of air compressor systems, including rotary screw and reciprocating compressors.
- Familiarity with pneumatic systems, controls, and electrical components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to client locations as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in various environments, including confined spaces and at heights.
- Comfortable working in noisy, dusty, or hot conditions while adhering to safety protocols.
