We are seeking an experienced MV Switchgear Commissioning Engineer. The role involves testing, commissioning, and handover of medium-voltage switchgear, ensuring reliable operation and compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, align, and prepare MV switchgear panels and associated equipment.
- Perform pre-commissioning checks, insulation tests, and functional tests.
- Verify protection relays, control circuits, and interlocks.
- Conduct primary and secondary circuit tests, including continuity and insulation resistance.
- Perform energization and operational tests, including load and no-load performance checks.
- Document all commissioning activities, test results, and handover reports.
- Coordinate with site teams, contractors, and project managers to resolve issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience in MV switchgear installation and commissioning.
- Knowledge of protection systems, control wiring, and safety regulations.
- Experience with primary/secondary testing, relay settings, and interlock verification.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on experience with MV panels in industrial, utility, or mission-critical environments.
