Role Overview

We are seeking experienced MCE Technicians to support major component replacement activities on Vestas wind turbines. The successful candidates will be responsible for executing safe and efficient main bearing and blade exchange operations, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with OEM procedures, site-specific requirements, and industry best practices.

This role requires proven experience performing major component exchanges on Vestas turbines and the ability to work effectively as part of a specialist lifting and service team in a challenging onshore environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform major component exchange activities on Vestas wind turbines.
• Execute main bearing replacement and blade exchange campaigns in accordance with Vestas procedures and quality standards.
• Carry out mechanical disassembly, installation, alignment, and commissioning activities.
• Support crane operations, rigging activities, and controlled lifting procedures.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with site HSE requirements.
• Follow Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and maintain strict adherence to electrical and mechanical isolation protocols.
• Complete relevant documentation, inspection reports, and quality records.
• Identify and report technical issues, defects, and non-conformances.
• Participate in daily toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety briefings.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards within turbines and work areas.
• Work collaboratively with site management, supervisors, and fellow technicians to ensure project milestones are achieved.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience carrying out Major Component Exchange (MCE) activities on Vestas wind turbines.
• Demonstrable experience performing:
  • Main Bearing Exchanges
  • Blade Exchanges
• Valid GWO Basic Safety Training (BST).
• Valid Vestas C-Level or D-Level certification.
• Valid LOTO Level 2 certification.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in heavy lifting and turbine component replacement.
• Ability to read and follow technical documentation and OEM procedures.
• Experience working at height and in confined spaces.
• Full driving license (preferred).
• Fluent English communication skills.
