Thermal & Structural Analysis Engineer (Space Systems)
Your analysis could directly impact hardware operating on the lunar surface within the next 12-18 months.
We’re working with an advanced aerospace team developing next-generation payload systems for a near-term lunar mission. This role is critical to ensuring hardware survives and performs in extreme environments-from launch through surface operations.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Developing and maintaining thermal models for complex spaceflight hardware
- Performing structural and dynamic analysis (vibration, shock, acoustic loads)
- Driving design decisions alongside mechanical and avionics teams
- Supporting environmental test campaigns (thermal vacuum, vibration) and correlating results
- Assessing risk and performance across mission phases
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, Nastran, Abaqus, etc.)
- Background in thermal and/or structural analysis for complex systems
- Understanding of dynamic environments and hardware response
- Ability to translate analysis into practical engineering decisions
- Engineers who thrive in high-ownership, fast-paced development environments
Ideal for engineers who want to move beyond pure analysis and directly influence real hardware operating in extreme environments.
