Darwin Engineering are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a specialist data centre commissioning partner on a major mission-critical data centre project in Finland.

Project Focus
- Manage and coordinate the delivery of the full Quality Commissioning (QCx) scope across a major data centre project.
- Oversee commissioning activities, project milestones and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate mechanical, electrical and commissioning teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Manage FAT, SAT, IST and integrated systems commissioning programmes.
- Ensure commissioning activities are delivered in line with project specifications, quality standards and operational requirements.
- Work closely with contractors, engineers, suppliers and key stakeholders to resolve technical issues and minimise delays.
- Monitor project progress, commissioning schedules, KPIs, budgets and reporting.
- Identify project risks and implement effective solutions to maintain programme delivery.
- Ensure quality assurance processes, engineering standards and Health & Safety requirements are maintained.
- Coordinate resources, subcontractors and engineering personnel throughout the commissioning process.
- Support technical reviews, commissioning documentation and operational handover.
- Ensure facility grid requirements and associated infrastructure considerations are incorporated into project delivery.
Key Skills and Experience Required
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years’ experience in project management, commissioning or engineering environments.
- Proven experience managing projects within data centres or mission-critical infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering systems.
- Experience managing Quality Commissioning (QCx) activities and quality assurance processes.
- Knowledge of FAT, SAT, IST and integrated systems commissioning.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, BMS, building services and controls.
- Knowledge of facility grid infrastructure and associated requirements.
- Excellent project planning, stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Compliance and Eligibility Requirements
- Candidates must be self-employed and able to operate on a contract/freelance basis.
- Must hold an EU passport or have existing unrestricted eligibility to work in Finland/EU.
