Senior Electrical Engineer – Battery Storage & Grid Integration
If you’re the kind of engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, taking ownership of projects, and seeing your work contribute directly to the energy transition, this could be a fantastic opportunity.
You’ll join a growing clean energy business that is developing innovative battery storage solutions to help make electricity grids more flexible, support the integration of renewable energy, and enable industrial customers to use energy more efficiently. The team is entrepreneurial, collaborative, and passionate about building infrastructure that will play a critical role in the future energy system.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of designing and delivering battery energy storage projects. You’ll help shape technical concepts from the earliest stages, evaluate new opportunities, and work closely with customers, grid operators, and engineering partners to bring projects to life.
This is a role for someone who enjoys both the technical and practical side of engineering. One day you may be reviewing grid connection concepts and electrical designs, and the next you might be discussing solutions with utilities, supporting project implementation, or helping define the technical standards that guide future projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Developing grid connection, measurement, and protection concepts for battery storage projects.
- Designing electrical solutions for medium-voltage applications and industrial energy systems.
- Reviewing technical documentation, electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and site layouts to assess project feasibility.
- Working closely with utility companies, engineering partners, and project stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
- Supporting project delivery from concept through implementation and commissioning.
- Contributing to certification and compliance activities as the responsible electrical specialist.
- Helping improve engineering processes and supporting the continued growth of the business.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll likely have a background in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Power Systems, or a similar technical discipline.
We’re particularly interested in speaking with professionals who have:
- Experience working with medium-voltage systems and grid connections.
- Exposure to renewable energy, battery storage, energy infrastructure, or power distribution projects.
- The ability to confidently interpret and create electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working with utilities or external partners.
- Fluent German language skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and professionally.
- A proactive mindset and a genuine desire to take ownership and make an impact.
Why People Are Interested in This Role
This isn’t a position where you’ll be a small cog in a large machine.
You’ll have the opportunity to influence technical decisions, help shape engineering standards, and work on projects that have a visible impact on the future of sustainable energy. The company offers a high degree of autonomy, encourages new ideas, and values people who want to contribute beyond their job title.
You’ll be joining a talented and motivated team where collaboration is genuine, communication is open, and achievements are visible. As the business continues to grow, there will also be significant opportunities for professional development and career progression.
