Role Overview
Experienced Network Engineer to develop and deliver new data services on the IP/MPLS network. This role reports to the Head of the Services and Supporting Platforms team within the Transport Network Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop data services across an ISP network
- Provide end-to-end support throughout the service development lifecycle
- Produce high-level and low-level designs (HLD/LLD)
- Build and manage a test environment in the development and regression lab
- Create test catalogues, perform proof-of-concept and regression testing, and adjust service configurations based on results
- Create LLCG and support service automation initiatives
- Prepare detailed documentation and train the operations team
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Network, IT, Business, Operations) and external partners/vendors
Technology Environment
Cisco, Huawei, Juniper, Nokia, RAD, and Accedian, with a focus on IP/MPLS, DNS, DHCP, and NFV applications.
Required Qualifications
- At least 8 years of experience in data network engineering within ISP or carrier environments
- It’s essential that you have worked on new service development/project engineering, and not only maintenance / BAU
- Proven ability to author high- and low-level network designs, plans, and guideline documents
- Strong understanding of carrier-grade data networks and associated technologies
