Analytics Engineer – Full Overview

Role Summary
An Analytics Engineer joining the Analytics programme, building and maintaining data transformation pipelines that feed reporting and analytics across the business. This sits within a broader initiative rebuilding the analytics foundation and BI capability from the ground up – the trusted data layer feeding dashboards, self-service analytics, and eventually conversational/AI-enabled analytics.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain dbt models on top of the Databricks/GCP data stack
- Write clean, tested, well-documented SQL transformations
- Collaborate with Senior Analytics Engineers and BI Developers to deliver reliable, analysis-ready datasets
- Troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues within existing pipelines
- Support ad hoc data requests from BI and business stakeholders during the programme rollout
Requirements
- Solid working experience with dbt and modern SQL-based transformation workflows
- Experience with Databricks and/or BigQuery (GCP data stack)
- Strong SQL skills; comfortable working with large, complex datasets
- Understanding of data modelling fundamentals
- Python experience a plus
- Fluent English; Dutch a plus but not required
