The Role

As a Forward-Deployed AI Perception Engineer, you’ll combine technical expertise with problem-solving skills to deliver impactful solutions. Working hand-in-hand with customers, you’ll uncover their biggest challenges and create computer vision and simulation-driven systems that solve them.

What You’ll Work On

• Engage with customer teams to understand pain points and propose AI-powered approaches.

• Design, implement, and deploy computer vision and perception models for unique scenarios.

• Translate customer needs into actionable inputs for product and engineering teams.

• Provide technical guidance throughout the customer journey, including demos and proof-of-concept builds.

• Share insights from the field to shape future platform capabilities.

• Act as an ambassador in technical communities and industry gatherings.

What You Bring

• 4+ years of experience in customer-facing engineering roles, with hands-on skills in computer vision and machine learning (2-4 years considered).

• Proficiency in Python and frameworks such as OpenCV and PyTorch.

• Strong communication abilities-able to explain complex tech in plain language.

• A solutions-driven mindset and eagerness to tackle open-ended problems.

• Experience working alongside product and engineering to refine solutions.

Bonus Points For:

• Familiarity with game engines (Unity, Unreal, etc.).

• Background in developer advocacy, technical evangelism, or forward-deployed roles.

• Knowledge of 3D tools (e.g., Blender) for creating or adapting assets.
