Darwin Recruitment are currently hiring for an Embedded Space Software Engineer on behalf of a company in Luxembourg that were founded in 2019 and specialise in space-to-ground laser communication. This company operates a subscription-based service (Cyclops™) offering satellite-mounted laser terminals and access to optical ground stations, enabling high-speed data downlinks from orbit at rates up to 10 Gbps and 1 TB/day.
Qualifications
* The right candidate holds or is currently pursuing a master’s degree in software engineering or equivalent
* Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and takes pride in high standard execution of tasks.
* Has experience in C/C++ for bare-metal and OS-hosted applications.
* Has experience or is willing to have experience with real time operating systems.
* Has experience or is willing to have experience with version control systems.
* Has experience in fast prototyping and testing, in interactions with the rest of the team.
* Has experience with Developing, debugging, testing, and verification to assist with their free space optical communication terminal embedded software, in interaction with the rest of the team and in direct supervision of a senior engineer.
* Has experience with development debugging, testing and validation of software ground support equipment.
* Be familiar with Linux-based environments.
* Is familiar with Microsoft Office Suite and Teams or can get acquainted in a fast manner.
* Is an outstanding verbal and written communicator in English with great interpersonal skills.
* Has a citizenship from a member state of both EU and NATO.
